Itinerary

Day 1 / Feb 09: Ulaanbaatar
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar. You will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to a hotel. Half and full day tours are available. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2 / Feb 10: Mongolian Secret History Complex – Mongolian Lunar New Year’s Eve
After breakfast travel to the Mongolian Secret History Complex, where you will celebrate the Mongolian Lunar New Year with Mongolian. Enjoy lunch in the restaurant of the Big Ger. In the afternoon ski from the mountain top, play various Mongolian games, and learn about Shamanism (original religion of Mongolians). Before dawn visit a Mongolian family to celebrate Lunar New Year’s Eve. Overnight in the camp. (B/L/D)

Day 3 / Feb 11: Mongolian Secret History Complex – Mongolian Lunar New Year’s Day
At sunrise walk your first path of the New Year according to Mongolian customs. After breakfast visit a nomadic family and indulge in hospitality of Mongolian people. You will greet with the owners of the family and feast with Mongolians. After lunch watch two year old horse race and an archery competition. A documentary about Mongolian culture and the way of life is available in the evening. Dinner and overnight in the camp. (B/L/D)

Day 4 / Feb 12: Mongolian Secret History Complex
Breakfast at the camp. Watch a Mongolian folklore concert and have a leisurely morning. After lunch, watch a Mongolian national costume show and have an opportunity for photos with Mongolian queen, king and shaman. In the afternoon enjoy horse riding, a must have experience in Mongolia. Dinner and fireworks in the evening. Overnight in the ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 5 / Feb 13: Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Check into a hotel/hostel. Visit National History museum and Sukhbaatar Square. Do shopping at the State Department Store, a souvenir shop, and a cashmere store. Have a farewell dinner in a Mongolian restaurant and spend the night in the hotel/hostel. (B/L/D)

Day 6 / Feb 14: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel/ hostel and travel to the airport for an international departure. (B)
