Day 1: Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, you will be greeted by our guide and drive. Transfer to a hotel. Half and full day tours are available.

Day 2:  Terelj NP 80km
After breakfast, drive to Terelj National Park, 80km northeast of Ulaanbaatar. Spend the day touring the area and enjoying the magnificent alpine scenery. There are great opportunities for hiking, rock climbing and horse riding. You can visit a nomad family, explore their unique lifestyle, and experience horse riding. Return back to the hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 3: Ulaanbaatar/Middle Gobi 220km
Early morning begin your journey to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a unique formation of rocks. Visit ruins of an ancient temple and explore the area. Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 4: TsagaanSuvarga 280 km
After breakfast visit ruins of Sum KhukhBurd Temple. Continue driving to TsagaanSuvarga, a fascinating white lime stones cliff. Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 5: South Gobi/Eagle Valley 280km
Drive further south. Arrive at the Three Beauties of the Gobi National Park. Spend the day on an excursion to Yol Valley (Eagle Valley) for hiking and stunning photograph opportunities. Lunch, dinner, and overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 6: Khongor sand dunes 200 km
After breakfast drive to Khongor sand dunes known as the Singing Dunes. A climb up to the sand dunes will be rewarded with a breath taking view. In the evening observe a spectacular sunset, please prepare your cameras. Lunch, dinner, and overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 7: South Gobi/Bayanzag 150km
Drive to the world famous Flaming Cliffs and Bayan Zag (forest of the Gobi). Discover the area of the first paleontological finding in Mongolia by following footsteps of Roy Chapman Andrews. Visit a nomadic camel breeding family and experience hospitality of nomads. Enjoy a short camel ride. Lunch, dinner, and overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 8: South Gobi/OngynKhiid 150km
After breakfast drive to north. Visit the ruins of Ongi Monastery and have a walk in the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 9: Karakorum, ErdeneZuu Monastery 300km
After breakfast drive to Karakorum, the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit ErdeneZuu Monastery, which was once one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia. Tour the monastery grounds and visit several chapels with excellent examples of Buddhist iconography dating from the 16th century. Visit the symbolic ruins of Karakorum. In the evening compete in a Mongolian archery game. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 10: Tsenkher Hot Springs 150km
Drive to the Tsenkher hot springs. Spend the day relaxing in natural hot springs and walking in the surrounding forest. Please do not forget to pack your swimsuit for this day. Your may have a small hike to a mountain top, a stunning view will await you there. Optional massage and beauty services are available. Enjoy the hot springs again after dinner. Lunch, dinner, and overnight in a ger camp.(B/L/D)

Day 11: Ogy Nuur lake 240km
Drive to Lake Ugii in Arkhangai province. The camp is located on the shores of Lake Ugii. A magnificent view and countless water birds will be at your footsteps. Lunch, dinner, and overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 12: Hustain Nuruu Natural Reserve 270km
After breakfast drive to HustainNuruu Natural Reserve. Drive deep into the Natural reserve to search for Przewalski horses (takhi), grandfather of all horses in the world. If you have binoculars, please bring them. View a short documentary and visit the museum. Lunch, dinner, and overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 13: Hustai Nuruu Natural reserve/Ulaanbaatar 120km
Breakfast at the camp. Drive to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 14: Ulaanbaatar
All day free at leisure.(B)

Day 15: Ulaanbaatar/Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the railway station or airport for international departure. (B)

Please note the following:
Hotels in Ulaanbaatar city reserved for double occupancy on more than 2pax, and in countryside all Ger styled tourist camps are based on 3 or 4 person occupancy. Your accommodation uses standard rooms unless otherwise specified on your itinerary.
Check-in at hotels is at 12:00pm/Check-out at hotels is at 12:00pm.
Traveling over long distances is done in 4 x 4 jeeps and sometimes over rough terrain for approximately 4-9hours depending upon road and weather conditions. Daily driving is distance 150-350km.
Your holiday includes transfers, accommodation and excursions as specified above in your itinerary. The board basis for your holiday is detailed at the end of each day.
It is the responsibility of the client to be fully covered with travel and medical insurance while traveling in Mongolia.

The only hotels in Mongolia are in the capital, Ulaanbaatar. Throughout the countryside accommodation is offered in the form of traditional Mongolian ‘gers.’ These ger camps are slightly modified for foreign tourists but in effect offer a traditional experience and the opportunity to experience Mongolia’s wilderness. Most ger camps are situated in attractive areas: on the shores of small rivers, nestled under rocky hills or on vast open plains and all under amazing night skies.

The gers are made from wooden frames with layers of canvas and felt. Interior wood is usually carved or brightly painted and they are equipped with 2 beds and a small table and stools. There is a central stove for wood-fire heating at night. Communal bathroom facilities are in basic but clean blocks nearby and with hot water (an impressive feat in the middle of the Gobi desert!). There are also restaurants and bars in a separate concrete building, or sometimes in large gers.

Whilst visiting Mongolia is hugely rewarding, it is a wilderness destination and the accommodation is basic. Juulchin Tourism Corporation uses the best gers available in each area and the itinerary above has been put together to enable stays in the best camps at the most attractive locations.

SUGGESTED CLOTHES & PACKING LIST

• What clients should expect from the accommodation:
  Accommodation in the city will be at a 3-star Hotel Guesthouse in Ulaanbaatar, which is the basic standard. Shower or bath and other facilities are available. Accommodation during the trip in countryside will be ger camps with hot shower sand communal toilet facilities. There will be no toilet and shower facilities during the days with tented nights.
• What clients should expect for meals: What is available in Mongolia?
  Generally the quality of meals in Mongolia is good, due to the quality of meat, which is 100% organic and free-range. Mongolian livestock is grown in free pasturelands across the country. Meals in the city will be in restaurants, which serve European, Asian and Mongolian cuisines. In the ger camps, the meals will be either European or Mongolian. During camping with tents meals will be much simpler.
• Extremes of weather and how to prepare for them:
  The temperature can change from day to night unpredictably and drastically, so one should bring warm clothes to wear during the night-time. Waterproof wind jacket, gloves and hat are also essential.
• What to bring – including clothing / food / equipment:
  Other items to pack include: Trekking boots, warm clothes, sunglasses, lip balm, forehead flashlight, notebook and pens, spare batteries, a compass, multiple copies of identification, medical kit first aid box, wear a money belt for your valuables (passport, cash, etc.), your personal toiletries (including hand and bath towel, shampoo and shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrush, dental floss).
• Money exchange information:
  Travellers should carry a supply of clean and new US dollar bills. Traveller cheques are not common in Mongolia. Credit cards (Visa, American Express, or MasterCard) are only accepted in Ulaanbaatar, and are limited to larger hotels, airlines, tourist agencies, and a few shops. Most Asian and European currencies can be traded in Ulaanbaatar, but the US dollar is the most reliable form of currency. The money can be changed in banks and exchange offices. The bank rates are a little bit lower than in exchange offices.

Tourist visas of Mongolia
A visa is required by everyone except those who hold USA, Malaysia, Israel passports traveling within 30 days and those with Singaporean, Philippines and Hong Kong passports traveling within 15 days. Visas are usually valid for 30 days and should be applied for at least one month before arrival in Mongolia.
Juulchin Tourism Corporation provides the customer with a visa support invitation letter for Mongolia.
